Dr. William Rea

Dr. William Rea,M.D. is a renowned cardiac surgeon from Dallas, TX. He became ill from environmental illness in a time when there were only one or two physicians practicing this type of medicine. He learned how to help himself and then opened his practice as one to help others with environmental illness. He has helped over 30,000 patients in his career. Now he is facing a bogus legal suit from the Texas Medical Board because of a complaint initiated by the insurance companies of five of his satisfied patients. The insurance companies did not want to pay for the service. Dr. Rea could lose his license. There are only a a couple of hundred physicians who practice this paradigm of medicine which is not yet accepted at standard because it is not well understood. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) was founded in 1965 by a group of clinicians from various specialties who banded together and formed a medical society that has evolved into the American Academy of Environmental Medicine.

The mission of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine is to promote optimal health through prevention, and safe and effective treatment of the causes of illness by supporting physicians and other professionals in serving the public through education about the interaction between humans and their environment.
